Guide
to Rotterdam |
|
You may already know Rotterdam
as the world's biggest port where millions of tons of cargo
are transhipped every year. But are you acquainted with the
Rotterdam that has developed in the last 20 years?
Rotterdam is a city that displays its treasures only during
a voyage of discovery. So why not make that voyage of discovery
and have yourself swept along into one part of the city after
another. Visit the urban waterfront along the River Meuse
with its exceptional architecture, lovely shops and an excellent
variety of restaurants and cafés. Enjoy the skyline
during a boat cruise.
Discover the treasures of the museum park and the city's cultural
axis running from Central Station to the Kop van Zuid. Shop
to your heart's content in the ample shopping centre with
its department stores and exclusive boutiques. Discover unique
shopping areas such as the Chinese department stores on Westkruiskade
or the galleries and trendy shops on Witte de Withstraat,
Binnenweg and Delfshaven. Visit Rotterdam Zoo (Blijdorp) where
you can "dive" to the bottom of the sea in its Oceanium.
Abseil down the Euromast. Or scout out the city's entertainment
facilities after dark: leading clubs like Now&Wow and
Nighttown, and lots of other R&B and dance clubs.
